Who we are
Home ownership rates among young people are declining rapidly, while renters experience growing uncertainty. This issue is especially severe for the 4.4 million Australians with disabilities, including over 660,000 individuals with intellectual disabilities. In the past decade, market-driven strategies for disability housing in Australia have prioritised cost efficiency and standardisation, resulting in a lack of variety, innovation, and options in housing design. In response, BFB Housing is developing a new model of housing that will provide greater choice for our people to live independently in their own home, surrounded by friends and family, and with easy access to onsite support.
